Ponyboy

  1. After ponyboy goes through all of things that goes on in the book, he started to remind me of Dally and the rest of the gang. He couldn't handle it all, and it made him a person who didn't really care. He changed a lot. He didn't care about his school work that much either, like he did before. I liked the part where someone said to Ponyboy, you can't just stop living because of all of this, we didn't.

  2. I really feel bad for Ponyboy. He knows Johnny died, but he doesn't want to admit it because he does not want it to be true. Even though it is super sad that Johnny died, his death made everyone (the Socs and the Greasers) realize that they are not better than anybody else. Randy and Ponyboy both lost their best friends and they don't want other people to feel the same pain.Whether you are rich or poor, fat or skinny, black or white, athletic or artsy, we all want the same thing...to be happy and live in a peaceful world.

  3. I agree with kate, at the beginning of the book Ponyboy had good grades and loved school. He didn't really fit in with the greasers but after Johny killed bob and they ran away Ponyboy toughened up. Now he doesn't care about school as much. Ponyboy changed a lot and I think Ponyboy would like to be a soc.
