Dallas Winston is a criminal. He dosen't follow the rules. I think he was proud of Johnny when he stabbed that boy. He was proud because he was finally sticking up for hiself and helping someone else. I think he is mainly proud of Johnny because Johnny doesn't really show self esteem and is scared most of the time. Dallas is not the ind of person you want as a friend. I think he will do something that he will regret later in the book. -Joseph
dallas just seems very suspicious... like he's just going to betray everyone at any moment. But i think he does have a soft side, but just doesn't show it because he wants to look tough, and people only see his tough side. -Maya
Maya and Joseph,I agree with you both. Dallas is an out there person. He seems like he's the person to not care about something, but even though he was kind of proud of Johnny when he stabbed the soc, he still showed that he cared and was going to help them. I also agree with Joseph when he says that he will do something that he will regret later. I think that Dallas will go a little to far with mouthing off to a cop, or doing something he shouldn't do.It is possible that Dallas is covering up his feeings by acting like he doesn't care.
